I have added a Geocache Coordinate Checker to the website.  It permits the user to create a link on their puzzle geocache pages allowing others to check their cords before they head out.  Here is the site:

There have been some changes to the handling of email addresses.
1. Email addresses are now case insensitive.  This means that demo(at)gmail(dot)com is the same as DeMo(at)gMaIL(dot)coM.
2. As a note, usernames and realnames are case sensitive.  This means that Ima Person is not the same as ima person.
3. The FAQ (http://deankeith.org/notifier/faq.html) has been updated to state the case sensitivity of usernames and realnames.

There have been some changes to the contact address section.
1. When an email address is added as a potential contact address, the email that is sent to the address has been changed slightly to help better direct the recipient to the page for verifying the address.
2. When someone goes to verify their email address to be a contact for someone else they are given the opportunity to also add an alternate email address or text-enabled cell phone.  The user who is using them as a contact will NOT see this alternate address/cell number.  If the main contact address is removed/retracted, the alternate address/cell number will also be removed.
This alternate email address/cell number can only be added at the time the main contact address is verified and cannot be changed later.  The functionality to do that will be added at a future time.
3. The FAQ (http://deankeith.org/notifier/faq.html) has been updated to reflect these new additions to the contact addresses.

Sorry to anyone who had problems navigating the Trip Notifier(SM) recently.  The problems should now be fixed.

There have been many changes made to the Trip Notifier(SM).
- When logging in, users no longer have to click on a page to get to their account page.  When logging out, users no longer have to click on a page to return to the main page.
- The look of the pages after logging in has been redone.  There is now a navigation panel along the left side that is always displayed.
- Users may now enter an additional email address and a cellphone number plus carrier to receive text notifications when they are almost overdue from a trip.
- Users are now allowed to edit any trips they have entered provided the trip is not past the return date/time.
- The FAQ has been updated to handle the changes made to the system.

There was a database problem concerning some changes made recently to the trip notifications.  This has been fixed.  Apologies to those who have had problems with trip notifications due to this issue.

Several changes have been made to the Trip Notifier(SM):

1. Users can now enter how long to wait after they are overdue to email their contacts.
2. Users can elect to receive a reminder that they are about to be overdue and specify how long before to send it.
3. Users no longer have to enter a password for everything they do.  If there is no new page loaded within 10 minutes, their logon times out and they must login again.  Otherwise, they only have to enter their password once.

All the pages for deankeith.org and the Trip Notifier(SM) are now valid html 4.01 transitional.

The time has been shortened between checks to see if any trips are past their return date.  The system now checks every hour which should make wait time before notification 2-3 hours.
